The formal requirement for the MS degree (non-thesis option) is thirty credit hours of approved coursework beyond the bachelor's degree. The MS degree (non-thesis option) is a terminal degree in this department. Current research includes multidisciplinary initiatives in biomolecular structure, molecular biophysics, computational and theoretical chemistry, materials chemistry, nanochemistry, bio-organic chemistry, photochemistry and photobiology, polymer chemistry, sensors, and environmental chemistry.
