You will develop an ability to integrate theory and practice in systematic analysis and gain a holistic understanding of diverse environmental issues in various social contexts. You will also extend your communication skills and learn to orientate yourself with a worldwide network of environmental institutions, developing your own career objectives and strategies as you do so. Semesters 1 and 2 (Year 1) During the first two semesters you will study at The Central European University, Budapest, Hungary. Semesters 1 and 2 will include units that focus on legal, economic, political, scientific and technological aspects of key environmental challenges, as well as looking at society’s interaction with the environment. At the end of the first year you will take part in an E-jobs seminar and take a one-month course at the University of Aegean on the island of Lesbos in Greece. Semesters 3 and 4 (Year 2) You may choose to study in Manchester in semester 3, where you will take units in Measuring and Predicting, Tutorial and an option from a choice of seven. Theory will be strengthened with ample opportunity for hands-on practical experience.
