Although we may consider applications from students wishing to study in any area of CEDAR’s expertise, we are particularly interested in applications from students wishing to carry out research in our two primary research areas: Special Educational Needs and Disability across the lifespan, and Parenting and Families. Our research in these areas is mainly at the interface between education and psychology, drawing on psychosocial theories and the development and evaluation of psychoeducational intervention approaches to address questions relating to educational outcomes, broader psychological and well-being outcomes, schools, and education policy. We also have expertise in a range of methodological approaches, including: combined methods, quantitative educational methods including secondary data analysis, and the design and delivery of complex psycho-educational controlled trial evaluations.
