Learning to manage the resources needed for successful innovation of creative services and products will be key to the success of these organisations. The problem faced by designers is not necessarily producing novel products but how to bring them to market. Providing a robust understanding of the innovation process will help entrepreneurial designers to turn their ideas into reality. This degree programme builds upon the internationally recognised profiles of the Loughborough Design School and the School of Business and Economics; the combined expertise of academic staff from these two schools offers a unique experience in London to develop your skills and knowledge. You will study entrepreneurship in the context of both academic theory and self-reflection to see if you personally have the qualities to take action and make an idea happen. Intellectual property is of vital importance to the entrepreneur in creative industries and we have devoted a whole module to studying the details and practical application of this rarely studied topic. Foresight and strategy looks to the future and considers the influence of technology on society and the impact it will have on creative organisations. The interdisciplinary live project module will provide you with the opportunity to develop entrepreneurial skills such as problem solving and strategic planning whilst working together on a real business problem.
