TOEFL (Applicants whose native language is not English must establish proficiency by means of the TOEFL examination. For international students who are  already  in the US to complete a degree program, TOEFL is automatically waived.) The minimum scores required for each of the forms of the exam are (1) 555 for the paper based test (TOEFL PBT),(2) 213 for the computer based test (TOEFL CBT), and (3) 79 for the Internet based test (TOEFL IBT). GRE Official GRE score report (less than 5 years old). Please note:  With departmental permission, GRE scores may be forwarded after submission of the online application.

Fee The application fee is $75,  paid online (see links to ePay for individual programs, below).  After you formally submit your UB application, you will receive an email with instructions on how to pay your program’s fee via ePay. Currently, UB accepts Visa, MasterCard and Discover. RL Three letters of recommendation.  Once you submit your application for final review, your professors will receive an automated email requesting that they upload their recommendation letter. Transcript Unofficial transcript(s) from every institution you have previously attended, to include all  undergraduate or graduate coursework (official transcripts will be required after acceptance).
