TOEFL Students whose first language is not English must demonstrate English proficiency with either a TOEFL, IELTS, or PTE Academic score. Students taking the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) must score either 213 or higher on the computer-based version, or 79 on the internet-based version. IELTS Students whose first language is not English must demonstrate English proficiency with either a TOEFL, IELTS, or PTE Academic score. Students submitting an International English Language System (IELTS) score must have earned a 6.5 overall score with no individual subscore below 6.0. GRE GRE scores are required for Master of Architecture applications.  Master of Science in Architecture applicants need not submit a GRE score.  Students who earned a B.S. in Architecture from the University at Buffalo need not submit a GRE score.

Please note the online application payment service is closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day.  RL Three letters of recommendation: Please identify in your application the names of persons who will be writing recommendations. You are strongly encouraged to arrange for at least one from a person who knows your academic work. The individuals will receive an automated email message requesting a letter of recommendation on your behalf. Transcript Transcript(s) from every institution you have previously attended. Current University at Buffalo undergraduate students need not send UB transcripts.
