TOEFL The minimum TOEFL score required is 79 for the internet-based test, with a minimum writing score of 20.  The minimum TOEFL score for the paper-based exam is 550, with a minimum writing score of 58. IELTS The minimum IELTS score required is an overall score of a 6.5, with a minimum writing score of 6.5. The testing agency should mail the official results directly to the University of Houston. PS Statement of Purpose (SOP). Include your name on the form and indicate your interest of a research field. GPA For domestic applicants, your Overall GPA and Chemistry GPA should both be at least 3.0 out of 4.0 (B average). CV Resume. List the most current institution even if you are not receiving a degree. Fee The application is freefor domestic students. The application fee is $75 for international students. RL Three letters of recommendation. An email notification from our Graduate School will be sent directly to your recommenders.
