TOEFL The Department normally requires a 92 or higher TOEFL score. IELTS Official English proficiency examination scores are required from international applicants, unless the applicant has received a degree from an English-speaking institution.  The University accepts TOEFL, IELTS and PTE. GRE GRE exam (Institution Code: 3916) GMAT Applicants to the MBA program should submit Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) scores in lieu of the GRE, however GRE scores may be accepted on a case by case basis.  Please use institution code 1ZF-RM-18 when requesting official scores to be sent.

GPA Applicants should have a gpa of 3.0 or better. Candidates with lower gpa may be considered if they have a 3.0 in advanced physics & math undergraduate courses. We suggest that you choose faculty very familiar with your advanced physics/math performance and especially value references who can comment on your research experience and ability. Transcript Official transcripts of all undergraduate grades, One official transcript of all previous college or university work must be submitted directly from the previous institution to our office.  We will obtain all transcripts from the University of Maine System campuses.
