TOEFL The University of Illinois requires an applicant for admission whose native language is not English to submit results of the TOEFL or IELTS as evidence of English proficiency. The Department of Statistics requires a minimum TOEFL PBT score of 590, a minimum TEOFL CBT score of 243, a minimum TOEFL iBT score of 92 or a minimum IELTS score of 6.5 for admission. If an international applicant has attended a U.S. institution of higher education for two years or more, (consecutive fulltime), the TOEFL requirement is waived. GRE The Department of Statistics requires applicants to supply Graduate Record Examination (GRE) scores for the GRE General Test in order to be considered. The GRE Subject Test in Mathematics is not required but is very helpful, especially for Ph.D. applicants.

PS Most departments require a statement of purpose or personal statement. CV The application will ask you to upload an up-to-date resume. Fee International applicants are required to submit a $90.00 application fee. RL Students must have letters of reference submitted through the online application system. Please note that three (3) letters are required.
