TOEFL TOEFL score(International applicants only). The Department has the same requirements as the Graduate School which is no lower than 550 (paper based test), 213 (computer based test), or 79 (Internet based test). GRE GRE score - Tests taken prior to August 1, 2011 requires a minimum of 1100 (Verbal plus Quantitative). Tests taken on or after August 1, 2011 requires a minimum of 300 (Verbal plus Quantitative). 

PS Statement of Purpose should be completed with the online application. GPA A grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.00 (A = 4.0) on all undergraduate work (or in the final 64 credit hours) and any graduate work already completed. Fee The application fee is $70. Applications are not accepted after the general deadline. RL Three recommendation letters are required by the Department. When applying online, follow the instructions on the application. If the recommendation letters cannot be submitted online then email or mail to the Department's Graduate Studies Coordinator. Transcript Unofficial transcripts are acceptable for the initial review of your application, and you can usually download them directly from the universities you attended. If you are admitted, the Graduate School will require official transcripts if you did not submit them with your application. Official transcripts should be sent directly to Graduate Student Services, 114 West David Boyd Hall, Baton Rouge, LA 70803. If your university offers the option of emailing official transcripts, they can be sent to gradtranscripts@lsu.edu.
