TOEFL The Graduate School sets a minimum total score requirement for the TOEFL and for each section of the TOEFL, as well. Those scores are listed below. We strictly follow the Graduate School's posted scores and we cannot make exceptions to their regulations. IELTS International English Language Testing System (IELTS) scores with an overall band score of at least 6.5. GRE General Test scores, and optional Subject Test scores (no more than five years old). PS Personal statement submitted with online application. GPA GPA of at least 3.0 (out of 4.0) in the sciences is required (we will evaluate international applications on a subjective basis).
