TOEFL The University of Pittsburgh requires a minimum TOEFL score of 550 on the written test or 80 on the Internet test. Applicants with a TOEFL score lower than 550 or 80 are not eligible for admission. IELTS IELTS scores can be submitted in lieu of the TOEFL. The minimum required score on the IELTS is Band 6.5 and applicants must take the academic writing and reading modules. GRE Pitt Public Health does not have a required minimum score. We recommend that you score at least in the 50th percentile in all sections.

PS Submission of a personal statement as part of the application. Applicants should use the personal statement to discuss their interest in becoming a genetic counselor. The personal statement should highlight an applicant's strengths, previous experiences related to genetic counseling, and understanding of the field. GPA A bachelor's degree in a discipline related to the biological or behavioral sciences from an accredited college or university with a minimum quality point average (QPA) of 3.0. Fee Pay application fee ($50) directly to SOPHAS Express(not SOPHAS, but SOPHAS Express). RL Submit three recommendations directly to SOPHAS.
