PS Statement of Purpose or Essay. Applicants are required to submit a Statement of Purpose. This may be accomplished by completing the Essay portion of the Apply Texas application online at www.applytexas.org. Applicants who prefer to send the Statement of Purpose separately may do so by submitting it in a word document format. (Please check with your department of interest for any additional application requirements.) GPA There is no minimum GPA to be considered as an applicant, but most incoming students have GPAs well above 3.00. Fee A non-refundable $50 application fee for domestic applicants. A non-refundable $90 application fee for international applicants. RL Three letters of recommendation are required. The recommendation letters are important. Choose recommenders who can adequately and fairly assess your potential, both as a student and a researcher. Transcript Official Transcripts and Records.
