The number of required and elective courses within a specific department varies. Each department's assistant director of academic programs and/or a designated faculty member serve(s) as the student's adviser(s) throughout the course of study. Requirements for students with specialized academic needs will be reviewed and a plan of action proposed and approved on a case-by-case basis. Students enrolling in the distance-learning-based Executive MPH program have slightly different requirements.

Rollins requires international students whose native language is not English to take either the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or the International English Language Testing System (IELTS).
