The Department of Applied and Computational Mathematics and Statistics (ACMS) at the University of Notre Dame offers a doctoral program in ACMS,equipping students with domain knowledge and experience in working in multidisciplinary teams at the frontier of a variety of fields. ACMS also offers Master's programs in the professional specialties of computational finance, applied and computational mathematics ,applied statistics and predictive analytics. The applied and computational mathematics specialty of the Master of Science in Applied and Computational Mathematics and Statistics trains students in the mathematical modeling of a wide range of complex phenomena from biology,engineering,and climatology.Students will be trained in scientific computing and numerical analysis, and learn to apply these skills in a high performance computing environment to analyze,visualize,and simulate complex physical systems.Short module length courses in business fundamentals will prepare graduates to tailor their analyses for maximum impact on their business.
