It encourages you to analyse the political economy of development, the strategic behaviour of organisations, governments and consumers in developing and emerging economies. The course will prepare you for roles in international organisations, in national and local governments as well as large firms, banks and other businesses with international operations where a knowledge of the key opportunities provided by development and constraints posed by it is likely to be useful.
