The course is suited to BEng graduates working towards Chartership, industry based engineers needing to gain or update their systems skills or who wish to embrace a new challenge and enhance their careers. Mixed student groups are encouraged to share prior domain knowledge and benefit from their combined experience. Although long established (beginning as an industry-only course in 2000), this is a rare qualification serving a skill set highly sought after by senior engineers, technical managers and directors across a range of sectors. Its block taught format and the option to elect assessment by coursework rather than exam makes it a popular part time course and a CPD option.
