Our MA TESOL is designed for students with an undergraduate degree in English or Linguistics who are intending to have a career in English teaching. It will also be of interest to you if you are already a teacher of English but would like to advance your teaching methods. To complete the MA degree, you will need to pass in six modules over two terms, after which you will undertake a research project with the guidance of a supervisor and write a thesis. Students who complete only the six modules, and do not write a research thesis, can graduate with a Postgraduate Diploma. Those who wish to do so can complete a Postgraduate Certificate by passing three modules.
