The course caters for the interests and experience of those from all sectors of education and those who are not yet in practice. The MA Education will enable you to engage with a variety of theories, concepts and ideas in education and explore how they are applied in real world situations. Practitioners can select modules that will enable them to deepen their professional understanding and explore new ideas and practices that they can then apply to their own settings. Non-practitioners will be able to study modules that develop in-depth knowledge in a range of areas that will support their future careers in the education field. The programme is built around providing opportunities for you to critically analyse issues in education, consider policies, evaluate research and explore their influence on your current and/or future practice. The modules lay the foundation for the research dissertation which gives you an opportunity to explore an issue that is relevant to you. We provide a supportive learning environment that aims to fit around your working life and sessions are delivered on one evening per week and/or weekends with a variety of support mechanisms. What you study This MA has a full-time and a part-time route. Both routes have taught sessions which are scheduled to enable working professionals to attend. You study 180 level 7 credits made up of four modules plus a final dissertation. The core modules enable you to update your knowledge and skills and give you the opportunity to reflect on you
