PS A successful statement will illustrate a candidate's goals, highlight their research interests, and explain how their experience is relevant to the academic research conducted by faculty in their program of interest. Please try to limit your statement of purpose to 500-1,000 words (250-500 for certificate applications). GPA 3.0 GPA in last 60 hours (90 quarter hours) of undergraduate work CV The résumé should list a candidate's relevant work experience, internships, research, awards, and/or publications, as well as educational history. A curriculum vitae (CV) is also accepted. Fee The application fee is $55, payable by credit or debit card. We accept Visa, Discover, and Mastercard. RL Two letters of recommendation. Recommenders will evaluate a candidate based on academic performance, motivation for program of study, intellectual capacity and/or research and writing ability. Recommendation letters can be uploaded only after the application has been submitted and the fee paid. Transcript Transcripts: Official Transcript Evaluation All international applicants are required to complete an official transcript evaluation. The transcript evaluation is not required for international applicants who have completed a Bachelor's degree in the United States. Transcript evaluations must be submitted to American University in lieu of the original international transcript. In order to complete a transcript evaluation, candidates must submit their official transcript(s) to a NACES approved transcript evaluation agency.
