PS As part of the application process to the W. P. Carey School of Business, you are required to answer the following essay questions. Type your answers below each question, then save and upload this document when you submit your application materials. Essay Question #1 Tell us about your professional experience in real estate or a related industry. How has your experience prepared you for success in the program? (250 words or less) Essay Question #2 The curriculum of the MRED program was specifically designed to take a transdisciplinary approach. W. P. Carey partners with the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law, the Del E. Webb School of Construction, and the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts. What value does this approach bring to your experience in the program and your career? (150 words or less) Essay Question #3 Upon completion of the MRED program, describe which segment of the development industry you see yourself going into. What impact do you hope to have? (250 words or less) Essay Question #4 (Optional) If you have not taken the GMAT/GRE/LSAT/MCAT or DAT, and have at least five years of relevant experience in the real estate industry or a related field (e.g., architecture, construction, marketing, etc.), you may qualify for an exemption from testing as a requirement for acceptance (“GMAT Waiver”). To request a GMAT Waiver, please address what you have accomplished and why you believe a waiver should be granted. (250 words or less) Essay Question #5 (Optional) Please provide any additional information you would like to bring to the attention of the admissions committee. (250 words or less) GPA You must have maintained a “B” (3.00 on a 4.00 scale) grade point average (GPA) in the last 60 semester hours or 90 quarter hours of undergraduate course work. If you do not meet the minimum GPA requirements, your application may still be considered.
