TOEFL International applicants may be required to provide proof of English proficiency via TOEFL or IELFTS. The exam results must be dated within 2 years from your proposed date of admission and remain valid upon entering the term you applied for. The State University of New York at Buffalo has a minimum TOEFL score requirement of 550 (paper-based) or 79 (internet-based). On IELTS, UB requires an overall score of 6.5 with no band below 6.0. GRE General GRE requirements: Even though we do not put a hard-line on the minimum score, we expect applicants to score around 309/340 using the current scale (or 1250/1600 using the prior scale) for Verbal+Quantitative; and 4.0/6.0 for Analytical components. The average score of our recently admitted applicants is about 316/340 (or 1300/1600) and 4.0/6.0.

You must ensure that the institution name and other identifying marks are not missed during the scanning process and that your scanned copy can print on letter size paper (8 1/2" x 11") 3. You will want to ensure that you also include the transcript legend (located on the back page in most cases). 4. While we prefer that you upload transcripts from an individual institution into a single file, in the event you encounter issues with the quality of the scan, please feel free to upload individual pages into multiple files. If necessary, you can upload up to 15 individual files. Please note, if you are uploading files after you have submitted your application for formal review, you will only be able to submit one files at that time, all other supplemental transcripts should be emailed directly to the department to which you are applying. 5.
