TOEFL (International students) A satisfactory score (80 or higher) is required of international students whose native language is not English. Clemson’s Institution Code is 5111. TOEFL scores are only valid for 2 years. IELTS (International Students) Can be taken in lieu of TOEFL. GRE Graduate Record Examination (GRE) scores (within the last five years) in the range of 140 for the verbal and quantitative portions of the exam. PS A personal statement outlining the purpose for pursuing an MPA degree. RL Two letters of recommendation from persons familiar with the applicant's academic and / or job performance (when possible one of each).
