TOEFL The minimum TOEFL score required is 79 for the internet-based test, with a minimum writing score of 20.  The minimum TOEFL score for the paper-based exam is 550, with a minimum writing score of 58. IELTS The minimum IELTS score required is an overall score of a 6.5, with a minimum writing score of 6.5. The testing agency should mail the official results directly to the University of Houston GRE GRE scores. You must give ETS  the following code when taking the GRE: 6870,There will be a place in CollegeNet for you to self-report your unofficial GRE scores.

A brief essay of 1 to 2 pages about why applicant wants to pursue graduate work in communication, experiences in communication, plans after receiving a graduate degree and why the applicant wishes to attend the Valenti School of Communication. RL Two letters of recommendation: to be submitted online. The letters should be preferably from former or present instructors who can comment on the applicant’s academic work in detail. Letters from employers are also accepted. Transcript Unofficial transcripts can be uploaded in the automated system if you choose to do so in addition to sending the official transcripts by mail.Your official transcript must be received before enrollment.
