TOEFL Students whose native language is not English must submit acceptable TOEFL scores as part of the application process.Mines requires a minimum score of 79 internet-based test (iBT) or 550 paper-based test (PBT).Tests must have been taken within the past two years to be accepted. Applications that do not have valid TOEFL scores will not be released to the Department for review. If you have completed a university degree program in the United States or in an English speaking country within the previous two years, you do NOT have to submit TOEFL scores. IELTS If the TOEFL test is not offered in your country, we will also accept the IELTS exam or the Pearson Test of English. IELTS minimum score of 6.5. Pearson minimum score of 53. Please note that TOEIC exam results cannot be used to satisfy this requirement. GRE All graduate degree programs at Mines require completion of the Graduate Record Examination (GRE). We will accept GRE scores from tests taken within the past five years.If you are not applying for aid within the physics department, you are only required to submit general GRE scores. GMAT The Division of Economics and Business and the Division of Liberal Arts and International Studies will accept GMAT Graduate Management Admission Testscores in place of GRE scores.

PS The purpose of the statement of goals is to introduce yourself to the Graduate Admissions Review Committee. In the statement, you should address professional and personal goals, as well as why Colorado School of Mines would be the best place to achieve those goals. In addition, any skills or experience you have that you think are applicable to a Teaching Assistantship or Research Assistantship award should be addressed in the statement. It is typically one to two pages in length. CV Your resume should contain a comprehensive list of your education, professional experience, publications, special projects, etc.Special trainings, publications, projects, internships, etc. should be included in your resume. Certificates (athletic, special trainings, internships etc.), published papers, etc. will not be included in your application packet. Fee A non-refundable application fee is required of all applicants.
