TOEFL The current computer- and paper-based versions of the TOEFL test will be given until the iBT version is implemented in a particular location. Computer-based TOEFL scores must be 213 or higher (with at least 17 on three sections and no section score below 13). The paper-based test requires a score of 550 or higher (with scores of 50 on at least two of the three sections and no section score below 45). IELTS TOEFL or IELTS test scores must be no older than two years (24 months) prior to the beginning of the requested entry term. GRE However, letters of recommendation and GRE scores less than five years old that are on file in the Graduate School or department may be transferred to the second application, upon request.

PS The Personal Statement is a part of the online application process, submitted with your application form. A good statement will have something to say about these topics: why you want to earn a graduate degree in Technical Communications; what your intellectual interests are; what your research interests are. Explain your interest in the MS program and what special skills or experience you may bring to it. Please limit the personal statement to two pages. Recommendations can come from current or former professors, or, if necessary, current co-workers, preferably managers or supervisors to whom you report or have reported. Transcript One Copy of Transcripts: Unofficial transcripts from any undergraduate or graduate institution you have attended should be uploaded with your application. If the department recommends that you be admitted, you will then be asked to submit official transcripts to the Graduate School. Only upon receipt of official transcripts will your admission be official.
