GPA The average GPA of our matriculated students over the past 5 years is 3.47 on a 4.0 scale. In addition, the Graduate School requires a minimum average undergraduate GPA of B (3.0). Exceptions to this might be made in rare cases if there are counterbalancing strengths in the application (e.g., exceptional research experience and outstanding recommendations; see below). In evaluating candidates, emphasis will be placed on grades in science coursework. Fee A nonrefundable $60 fee for U.S. students and $70 for international students is charged for each admission application you submit to Ohio State for graduate study. You may pay the application fee using a credit or debit card (Visa, Master Card or Discover). RL Three letters of recommendation are required, preferably at least one of which should address research potential or accomplishments.
