美研文书调整
根据指南者文书老师门的研究与分析，今年文书的主要变动是在sop的基础上增加了Personal Statement，更加看重life experience的影响以及contribution to the community，因此在撰写文书时需要着重强调个人成长经历与经验以及个人贡献。
下面是几所Top院校的具体项目文书变动：

A wide diversity of experiences and perspectives in the graduate student body enhances Columbia’s academic life: Graduate students work closely with the faculty, constitute the classroom context for their peers, and make substantive contributions to the University's pedagogical and research enterprise.
We ask that you provide a statement (maximum of 1,000 words) that explains how your personal experiences and history will allow you to contribute to the wealth of perspectives in the entering class of the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences and in the Columbia community at large.

The College of Engineering at CMU values excellence, innovation, being genuine, diversity, respect for others, integrity, trusting, and being trustworthy. Within the context of your experiences, how would you contribute to these values within our community?

Please provide a brief statement that highlights the unique life experiences that have shaped your own identity and prepared you for graduate work. Share how these experiences have influenced your perspectives and your vision for contributing to Duke’s academic community. (required – 1 page or less)
从上面哥大、CMU、Duke三所学校的文书变动可以看出来，今年工学院的文书有了很大改动，主要体现在这三类：
1. contribution to student/academic community；
2. PHS相关, life experiences that have shaped your own identity and prepared you for graduate work ；
3. DEI，diversity equity inclusion。
