爱丁堡大学儿童研究理学硕士项目为跨学科强化教学项目，重点研究儿童法及其相关问题，如何通过政策法律等实践来保护儿童，以及《联合国儿童权利公约》对儿童福利、残疾、教育、家庭研究、少年司法、社会政策和社会工作的影响。

本项目同时也回应了哲学、社会学和地理学等广泛的学科中的儿童研究问题，引导学生正确处理青少年问题，并培养其优秀的研究咨询技能，真正的做到帮助青少年健康成长。学生还需重点学习《联合国儿童权利公约》，并就影响儿童的立法、政策、理论和实践展开深入剖析。
